When youth take part in enrichment center activities they build confidence, explore their talents, find their strengths and discover how much they have to offer their friends, family and community. They take part in individual and team recreation, arts activities, a computer lab, homework help, outdoor recreation and environmental education, as well as service learning projects.
An atmosphere that inspires every child to have a positive outlook on the future—and their potential to grow and learn—is created every day. Activities focus on community building, cultural awareness, sensitivity, healthy lifestyles, decision-making, conflict resolution, building self-esteem, independent living and include:
- A structured and supervised learning environment
- Educational programming
- Cultural exploration
- Recreation/outdoor adventure program
- Computer lab
- Game room
- Arts and crafts
- Chef’s Club: snack and nutrition program
- Teen programming
- Family events
